Joe Hisaishi, the Japanese composer (e.g. the amazing Spirited Away and Nausicaa films), made me go to Poland. He's one of my musical heroes, and it was his first ever concert in Europe, so what else could I do? It was also a great excuse to explore a country I hadn't visited before; the Tatra Mountains on Poland's southern border, along with Krakow and Ojców National Park, amongst other places.
