Marwell Wildlife, Winchester:
Sleepy Snow Leopard and Lazy Meerkat

I waited outside the snow leopard enclosure at Marwell Wildlife for well over an hour in total, returning throughout the day, hoping either of the leopards would make some sort of movement, but they remained asleep. At one point the big cat above slightly opened one eye, only to close it again. Eventually I was rewarded for my patience and took the photo above. Of course, that's nothing compared to the 6 weeks a BBC cameraman spent waiting for just one glimpse of a snow leopard in the wild.

Another sleepy cat. I do have a photo of this one with it's eyes open, but I prefer this photo.
